Rosenborg BK secured their fourth consecutive Eliteserien victory with a 3-1 win away to Kristiansund. The result lifts the team to a solid fifth place in the table with 33 points from 21 matches.
- If you look at where we came from, this is far above expectations and far above normal, Freyr Alexandersson told TV2 after the match.
The game at Nordmøre stadion started poorly for the visitors as David Tufekcic put Kristiansund ahead after 31 minutes. Rosenborg responded quickly, with Mads Bomholt equalising just two minutes later. After the break, Noah Sahsah put Rosenborg in front following a pass from Emil Konradsen Ceïde, before Adrian Pereira secured the three points with a cross that was converted by Brennhete Amin Chiakha in the 83rd minute.
Chiakha on top
Goalscorer Amin Chiakha now has 13 goals in 21 appearances this season and is the club's top scorer. Danish forward Noah Sahsah also continues his strong form with his fifth goal in six matches for Rosenborg. Under Alexandersson, the team has scored 30 goals in the last ten games, an average of three per match, compared to under one goal per game in the first eleven rounds of the season.
The win is the fourth in a row for Rosenborg, who have now won four of their last five matches. The team sits 17 points behind league leaders Viking but has established itself as a strong contender for a European place.
For Kristiansund, who have 19 points and are threatened by relegation, a tough match against Bodø/Glimt awaits. Rosenborg host Sandefjord at Lerkendal on October 10th, an opponent they drew with in April. The club's squad is currently without Johan Johanessen Bakke due to injury.
