Rosenborg BK has appointed Odd Einar Landsem as the new chairman after Cecilie Gotaas Johnsen declined to seek re-election. Landsem was elected as vice-chairman in February and has now been given the top job in the club until the ordinary annual meeting next year. Ola By Rise was nominated as vice-chairman, and that also went through. The entire board put their positions at the disposal after several members in May demanded an extraordinary annual meeting due to mistrust of chairman Johnsen. She announced shortly after that she would not seek re-election and pointed out a culture that makes it difficult to lead the club. She continues in her job as chairman of Toppfotball kvinner. The board wanted to have a debate on «preconditions for healthy club management forward», but that was voted down by the members. Thus, it will not happen until at least next year. The mistrust of Johnsen came after a poor season start for the Trønders. In May, Alfred Johansson lost his job as head coach after the weakest season start since 1977. However, the trend has turned, and head coach Freyr Alexandersson has lifted the club to a seventh place on the table. Rosenborg BK is now in seventh place in Eliteserien with 24 points after 17 games. They have scored 25 goals and conceded 22. They are 17 points behind Bodo/Glimt in the top.
