Emil Konradsen Ceide set a new Rosenborg record for the fastest goal in the club's history during their 4-0 Eliteserien victory over HamKam. The 20-year-old found the net after just 16 seconds, beating the previous record of 19 seconds set by Trond Olsen in 2009.

Rosenborg's win marks their sixth victory in eight matches. This comes as the team sits sixth in the Eliteserien standings with 27 points from 19 games. They have scored 31 goals and conceded 26 this season.

The goal originated from a precise pass by Ole Selnæs. Ceide received the ball and finished clinically to write his name into the club's record books. "It was fantastic. A really good start to the match, it can't get better than that," Ceide said after the game.

This was Ceide's third consecutive league match with a goal, the first time he has achieved this in his career. He became Rosenborg's and the Eliteserien's most expensive signing ever when he joined permanently in August. He has played senior football for nine seasons, including time at Italian club Sassuolo.

Rosenborg dominated completely after the fast start. In the 51st minute, Ceide assisted Amin Chiakha, who then played the ball to Noah Sahsah for the 2-0 goal. Eight minutes later, in first-half stoppage time, Ceide was involved again. This time he set up Chiakha for the team's third goal, which was also Chiakha's tenth of the season.

Shortly before full time came the fourth goal. After a pass from Tobias Dahl to Chiakha, the ball was played to Ceide who scored his second of the evening. The victory secured Rosenborg's climb to fifth place in the table, though they still trail league leaders Bodø/Glimt by 20 points.

The team's good form under head coach Freyr Alexandersson has continued since he took over after the World Cup break. They have won six of eight matches under his leadership. Their last match before this was a loss, but they have now won two of their last three.

Rosenborg must however manage without several key players. Currently sidelined are Dino Islamović, Iver Fossum, Johan Johanessen Bakke and Jonas Svensson.

The next challenge is a home match against Tromsø on September 12th. Tromsø sits third in the table, promising a tough contest. Rosenborg's fixtures schedule shows this will be an important test for the team's ambitions this autumn.

The young player has emerged as a decisive player since returning permanently to the club. With goals in three consecutive matches and a record assist, he shows maturity beyond his 20 years. His ability to both score and create goals makes him a versatile attacking resource.

Amin Chiakha, who was also heavily involved in the match, commented on his own role. "Not really, I feel more that I want to give back." he said.

For HamKam, a difficult period continues. Since the World Cup break they have won only one of nine matches. Rosenborg's standings show they now have a solid lead over the teams below them. The team's goal difference of +5 is also among the best in the middle of the table.

Rosenborg faces Tromsø at Lerkendal Stadium on Saturday, September 12th at 6:00 PM.
